Let the celebrations begin!
Easter Morning: He is Risen! Alleluia!
After Church, we had our Easter lunch:
My son Joseph set the table while mom and dad where cooking. The tablecloth is actually a sheet. I love the delicate spring flowers on it.
DH did pork chops on the grill. We had red beans and rice, potato salad, mashed potatoes, green beans and pineapple. Simple and delicious!
Later, we went outside for a bit of warm sunshine and recreation.
Grandma and Baby Eliana sitting in the soon to be patio.
The girls got paid in jelly beans for helping the boys with their kites.
DH even got in on the fun. What a great way to celebrate the Resurrection, raising kites into the air.
When the kiddos got tired they moved on to:
The lil' bird whistles could be heard chirping though out the day.
All of the activity helped us to work off our calories so there was enough room for....
our traditional lamb cake. My Max reminded me of this the week before Easter. It is so great to know they look forward to the traditions.
We sat outside on the swing relaxing and talking and drinking...
some tea. Ahhh, the small wonders of life!
It was such a delight to sit back and see the kiddos so full of energy and having no worries.
Easter, new life, we are a resurrected people.
God surrounds us with His love and His life. It is so good to share it with each other!
Happy Easter!
